Hi!  Pursenal Inspirations is a young company that was started by two women who love purses, especially BEIJO purses.  We are independent BEIJO representatives in Pennsylvania, and we welcome your comments about the BEIJO line, and about how we can introduce you to the wonderful world of BEIJO bags!

ABOUT BEIJO BAGS

BEIJO was created when single mom Susan Handley decided to start selling her line of handbags.  The bags that she’d originally created for friends and neighbors were, she hoped at the time, going to support herself and her young son.  She began showing her unique designs by the armload around her home in northern Florida, with word of mouth taking the place of a marketing budget.   In the short time since, Beijo bags have become a multi-million dollar enterprise, turning what had been a one-woman operation into a fashion phenomenon profiled on CNN, on shows like “Extra” and “Entertainment Tonight” and in magazines including US Weekly and Entrepreneur.  Susan’s secret?  A fresh new look in handbags coupled with an update on a decades-old sales strategy: home based events.

A KISS FOR LUCK

What better way for Susan to begin her business venture that with a kiss from her son, Kyle.  “Beijo” it seems, was Kyle’s second spoken word, one that he had learned from his father’s native language of Portuguese.  As a toddler, Kyle would often say to his mother, “Beijo, mama, beijo.”  What the little boy was asking for, of course, was a kiss, which is what “beijo” (pronounced bay-zhu) means in Portuguese.

WHAT’S IN THE BAG?

The pearlescent finish, sleek silhouettes and distinctive hardware of Beijo give the bags a sunny sophistication that not only works for almost any occasion, but has appealed to women of all ages.  The backpacks are a favorite with juniors whether on campus or on the town, while the business class is showing up in offices across the country.  Many of the other designs have been seen on the arms of Hollywood celebrities, and have been included in the “goody” bags given to participants at film award ceremonies.  The ever-expanding line of accessories has added yet another element to Beijo’s versatile, fun and – best of all – affordable collection of styles.

EVERYONE’S INVITED

The vast majority of Beijo bag sales come from home-based events and face-to-face sales.  Tens of thousands of units are sold every month.  And while major corporations have approached Susan about licensing her designs, she prefers to stay true to her original vision, building a nationwide network of individual, at-home distirbutors, like us here at Pursenal Inspirations.  For Susan Handley, creating her company has been a true labor of love.  And to many women across the country, Beijo has come to represent both an affordably elegant line of handbags, and a success story in which they can all share.
